Brutus Beefcake
If not for misfortune, who would have been the next big thing-Magnum T.A. or Brutus Beefcake?
My understanding is that NWA was planning on making Magnum TA world champ at some point. Beefcake was supposed to win the IC title but couldn’t because of the accident/injury. As much as I loved him back then I don’t think he would have gone any higher up than IC champion. It is likely that they would have had him drop the belt right back to Perfect a few months later like they did with his replacement Kerry Von Erich, and then he would have faded into midcard obscurity like Kerry Von Erich. Then he would have still gone to WCW and become (insert stupid gimmick here).
