Characters faces and clothes black on sims 3?
ok i have been trying to add this to the forum on the sims 3 website but i cant get it to work so that is why i am asking on here…when i go create new sims on my game the faces are black or some of their clothing or their hair is missing…also some of the other items in the game are also doing it. my comp is completely up to date. all the system requirements are fine. is anyone else having this prob? and does anyone know how to fix it?

I had the EXACT same problem and eventually ended up calling EA directly for help. Thankfully they had the solution!!
Apparently this happens when you need to “update your video driver”
If you have a Nvidia Video Card, here’s what you do.
1. Go to www.nvidia.com
2. Click on Download Driver….and again “download driver”
3. Fill out the information tabs based on your video card
4. click search and then “update”
5. save to your desktop and once the download is done, click on the desktop icon to install the video card update.
6. It will then tell you to restart your computer, which you need to do.
After your computer has restarted, things should be back to normal and you’ll have no more black & green faced sims!!
If you don’t have a Nvidia card, you’ll need to go to the website of the video card your computer does use and update the driver from there.
