Ultimate Resident Evil Experience on the Wii…?
I want to experience the intense and generally awesome experience of the history of Resident Evil Series on my Wii… I don’t wanna start playing the old games (like RE 3: Nemesis, or Code Veronica and stuff), because not only I don’t have all the consoles that the series were published at (like PS1 or Dreamcast), but also because the graphics are not the best thing in these “ancient” games…
So I found several RE games that are published for the Wii… Like Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles… But do these games tell the story I want to learn? Do they give you a nice RE Experience, even though they are not the original games?
Also, what about these other shit? I’m talking about Resident Evil Archives: Zero and the other archive games… What about them? Is there an order I should play them or should I just stay away?
Thanks in advance
You won’t learn the whole story from those Wii games because the story lines are shortened in order to make the games not last for like 10 hours. I agree 2, Nemesis, and code veronica have bad graphics but as far as story goes you won’t learn the whole thing unless you play the old games. (You can also look it up on wiki if the graphics really bother you). Resident evil 1 (mansion) and resident evil 0 are awesome games and they are way more challenging then the Wii games because they have all the puzzles and other fun stuff plus the graphics are not bad at all. The Wii games will give you somewhat of a story but not all of it (though the dark side chronicles have a separate story about leon that you will not get anywhere else) those Wii games have more action but not the puzzles and mystery that made resident evil a serious challenge. Basically no you won’t get the whole story from the Wii games (but you may learn something about Wesker). Long story short play the originals for the whole affect.

Hunting Evil $5.49 At the end of the Second World War some of the highest ranking members of the Nazi party escaped from justice. Some of them are names that have resonated deeply in twentieth-century history – Eichmann Mengele Martin Bormann and Klaus Barbie – not just for the monstrosity of their crimes but also because of the shadowy nature of their post-war existence holed up in the depths of Latin America always one step ahead of their pursuers. The nature of their escape was as gripping as any good thriller. They were aided and abetted by corrupt Catholic priests in the Vatican they travelled down secret ‘rat lines’ hid in foreboding castles high in the Austrian alps and were taken in by shady Argentine secret agents. The attempts to bring them to justice are no less dramatic with vengeful Holocaust survivors inept politicians and daring plots to kidnap or assassinate the fugitives. Guy Walters has travelled the world in pursuit of the real account of how the Nazis escaped at the end of the war the attempts sometimes successful to bring them to justice and what really happened to those that got away. He has interviewed Nazi hunters former members of Mossad and poured through archives across the globe to bring this remarkable period of our recent history to dramatic and vivid life. |
