Why is unreal tournament 3 lagging?
I just downloaded it and installed it onto my SATA raptor drive. I booted it and it lags all over the place, its not too bad if i play a small map with a low level of bots but i want it to be…you know..fully functional! My pc handles these games like a piece of cake: C&C Generals, Unreal tournament 2004, C&C 3, Battlefield 2/special forces, Red alert 2, Half-life 2 etc. My specs are:
3.4Ghz P4 Processor
1.5Gb RAM
ATi Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 Pro
250GB IDE HD
75GB SATA HD (which the game is installed on)
The pc is also watercooled also so it shouldnt be overheating
Perhaps you need to download the latest video drivers?
Also, what settings do you have the game at?
Try adjusting the settings to a lower level. Or mix it up. Turn off shadows and AA
