how many combat jumps were performed by german fallschirmjager in ww2?
Crete was certainly not the only major jump.
Their first use in combat was in April 1940 with the invasion of Denmark and then again in the Invasion of Norway that same month. They were used again in the invasion of Western Europe (specifically Holland). Their most famous feat took place and that was the capture of the strongest fortress in the world at that time (Eben Emael), however they used gliders and not combat jumps. The final major combat jump was Crete – after that there were only minor drops with the final one occurring during the Battle of the Bulge. After that they were used primarily as elite ground troops.
So in summary, at least 4 major jumps and a minimum of 3 minor ones.
