How do I find out the value of a Marvel Legends Iron Man (Series 1) with two right hands?
I have an Iron Man action figure that I bought when the first wave of Marvel Legends was released and I noticed that it had two right hands (which I’m assuming is a manufacturing error) and did not open it. I’ve looked all over online and can’t find that anyone else has gotten one of these. How do I find out what it is worth?
Manufacturing defects like the one you have actually lower the value of the figures since they are not true variants.

Figures available off the shelf this very instant have errors or defects which make them less than mint (e.g., paint defects, missing/wrong appendages, etc.). The term “Mint on Card” is slightly deceiving in that it implies that the figure is mint, when in actuality, many people use this term to mean “a new figure that has never been removed from the bubble, played with or altered in any way.” While many carded figures will indeed appear “mint” to the satisfaction of most collectors, it is a mistake to assume that all figures produced by any toy company are in mint condition by default.”
For future reference a good action figure price guide can be found in “Toyfare Magazine”. If I ever want to look up a figure’s price I usually go to Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc and flip through the magazine (no need to buy it). Like most price guides, the values found in Toyfare don’t really reflect the actual market value. A good rule of thumb is that if you plan to sell an action figure expect to get about 40-60% of the price guide value unless you have a really rare or in demand figure.
