You are making a Space Opera list, and don’t have Legend of the Galactic Heroes on there?
LotGH is not just one of the best space operas of all time, but it is arguably the greatest anime work of all time.

Macross Plus Part 1 – Fullscreen Subtitle Dolby Dts $24.99 Some 30 years after the wars between the humans and Zentradi that took place during the original series Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Earth’s government is testing the possible successors to the Valkyrie transforming space fighters. Two pilots, Isamu Alva Dyson and Guld Goa Bowman, are chosen to pilot the YF-19 and the YF-21 in order to decide which one will be the Earth’s new main line of defense, but these two hot-shots are so competitive that they put the entire project at risk. In addition, an old friend to both men, Myung Fan Lone, shows up, fueling the fires of jealousy.
