Group Or Solo Costumes?
Halloween costumes, especially if yours is popular, can really impress lots of people. You can be the center of attraction in a Halloween party if you are wearing the best and most extravagant costume. Being the guy or girl of the night is really a fantastic feeling.
However, there are also other ways to be popular in a costume party. Another way to steal the spotlight in a costume party is by coming as a group wearing themed costumes. Going solo is not a good idea if there are a individuals wearing group costumes. Going in a group in a costume party is really better than just going solo.
It can be hard to organize a costume group at first, but if you manage to do so, it will be worth it. First, you must look for people that would like to join you in your group costume idea then choose a theme that all of you will agree on. Before deciding on a costume, think about the number of people in your group. Deciding on a theme that composes of 6 characters when you have few or more than the required is really not a good idea. However, there are some group costumes that are not restricted to a specific number of people, like a Toy Story Alien Costume or an Oompa-Loompa costume.
Another problem in group costumes is assigning a character to each person. This one, especially to children, can be a big problem. Some in your group will want to wear the most popular costume in the theme. This will cause some arguments in the group on who will wear the best costume. For example, in a superhero group, more guys will want to be Superman than to be the Flash or the Martian Manhunter. However, you should take in consideration the physical appearance of the characters that you are gonna portray. A person that is too fat or too thin will surely not fit the bill as a Superman. If all else fails, then resort to games of luck, like rock, paper, scissors or a toss coin.
Going to a Halloween costume party in a group costume is really a great and fun experience than going solo. It can be a very rewarding experience, especially if you managed to overcome the obstacles involved. So organize a group and go to a costume party wearing Superhero costumes or a Toy Story Alien Costume and have lots and lots of fun. Enjoy the Halloween Season!
