Australia Vs England Ashes Preview
If you had to do some cricket betting in the upcoming Ashes series who would you go for?
It’s only June, very early in the year. But it comes as no surprise that people are already talking about the upcoming Ashes series. Which team will come out on top in this duel?Is this a new formidable England outfit?Can Australia make the most of the advantage of being the hosts? It will definitely play a role.It was only in 2007 that the Aussies absolutely pummelled England. It was an absolute whitewash.
It’s time to compare the different lineups and see which side is strongest.Let’s start with the bowling side of things and look at the past attacks.
Pace attack:
Without a doubt Australia, in my opinion, Australia have the edge when it comes to the fast bowling department. Dougie Bolinger and Ryan Harris have been nothing short of revelations since they both entered the test arena late in their careers. A look at England and you can see that Stuart Broad and James Anderson are definite starters. I reckon the third pace option will be filled by the giant Steve Finn with his pace and bounce.
People with the Blade
Each side have strength in depth in their batting. There are a few dilemnas as to what will be the starting batting lineups. Both teams are unsure about their number 6s and there’s time for a candidate to force their way in.
Spinners
It is the spin department that could hold the key for England as they possess arguably the finest exponent of the art right now. But we shouldn’t have any bad words against the australian spinner Nathan Hauritz who is a good operator as well.
