Stephon Marbury
What are the Knicks exactly planning on doing with Stephon Marbury?
They obviously don’t want him. How many years are left on his contract, and is there an inside trick their trying to play to land LeBron?
Enlighten me.
Chuck Norris: Have fun waiting two years. We’ll enjoy him for now. And nothing is in stone. He might end up staying. So you have fun for about 2 solid YEARS knowing your team is going nowhere.
This is the final year of his contract.
Although, I think of D’Antoni as a great coach he is doing the wrong thing in handling Marbury. The way Duhon is playing he should start and Marbury shouldn’t because that is bad for a young players psyech if he is demoted out of the blue in Duhon. But, Marbury is the only known 220+ PPG scorer on the Knicks now and needs to be given as much or more playing time than Nate. I am hopeful, even after this trade, which is bad btw IMO and here is why I am going to enlighten you.
Wade, Bosh, and especially LeBron would stay put and here is why. I am convinced that Danny Ferry is plotting some sort of conspiracy starting w/ the Mo Williams trade. He was not brought to be LBJ23′s second, but his 3rd. What I think is the Cavs are going to once again make a run at Michael Redd, who is also a FA in 2010. Last, time they offered Redd a contract he refused because the Bucks made the playoffs and he felt confident not the case now and in 2010 the Bucks have both Redd and RJ as FA and can’t re-sign both not enough $.
On the other hand, because Mo Williams is a Cav now Redd would not be so quick to refuse the offer now and will probably sign on. I think LeBron and the Cavs were conspiring since the Olympics were LeBron and Redd were teammates. When Mo was traded LBJ23 joked w/ Michael Redd saying we have your PG @ the breakfast table. I saw it on TNT interview. Redd knew what was going on, so did LBJ23, and so did Cavs management.
Unlike, the Bucks the Cavs will have enough money to sign LBJ23 and Redd because of the many expiring contracts they have. Andersen Varejao (which they will likely re-sign) and the rest are gone in Wally Szczerbiak, Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, Lorenzen Wright, and Eric Snow.
