Tion Medon
In Star Wars, Episode III, whose side was Tion Medon on anyway?
He was the dignitary on Utapau who spoke to Obi-Wan when he first arrived looking for Grievous.
His planet had not joined with the Separatists, and was still a member of the New Republic. So technically, they were against the Separatists, and for the Republic. But Utapau was in the outer rim of the Galaxy, and the Republic did not have much influence out there.
The Separatist military invaded Utapau and forced them house and hide their forces. Many Utapauan officials were killed, and more were threataned if Utapau failed to cooperated. Tion Medon wanted the Separatists off of his world and took a risk by betraying them to Obi Wan Kenobi. When the Republic forces came to battle the Separatists, the Utapauans aided the Republic forces, and fought alongside them. When the the Republic became the Empire, the Clone Troopers turned on the Utapauans and subjugated them.
