Universe Complete
Can Individuality Truly Exist?
If we are just a product of the environment’s cause and effect, is it ever possible to be a true individual? What if we were some conscious computer program that couldn’t observe itself through the known senses? Only through abstract thought? And for added fun, let’s say this computer can create its own universe, complete with its own separate physics and properties AND just as a coup de grace we can eventually connect these computers and their universes together. What would happen? Also this is two questions in one, so please try and answer both……thanks
It’s possible to be different and also possible to be original, but we are limited because of our bodies and emotions so we can’t become completely different. So we are much like the same and we can’t be true individual. Despise the biological explanation saying we are different because of our adn.
Some programs can create a world, any world you possible imagine, but you have to order the program to do that, it can’t do anything by itself, the worst it can happen is you can’t deal with the machines like you deal with a human (destroy it, order it to stop) how could you stop it? if you created an intelligent robot that could do everything on its own it would have no consciousness. Other than that it could be perfect.
We would have something without emotions, capable of being active at every time, remember only animals need rest machines don’t,
I’ve seen computers connected to each other, so if you could create one world then you would have to change it and make another one on a different pc, then they could work together, the problem would be the 1st one, artificial intelligence is not hard to create, we just need to focus on doing that, so if you were looking for motivation on your next job, go for it lol.
I can conclude the biggest problem would be create something that could hold such a “brain” because our robots are not great, I think the best is Honda’s robot from what I’ve seen.
the frontal lobe is capable of dealing with the emotions, if you could just remove it, or damage using medical tools, not only the patient would survive but he would never ever feel anything again.
Problem: he couldn’t choose what was best as emotions are responsible for that.
