Wars Anh
Are the twin suns on Tatooine in Star Wars: ANH edited with special effects or is it naturally occurring?
I have heard it both ways, I would like to find out for sure.
Star wars episode IV was actually filmed on a planet not too far from Tatooine called Janus V. (Rights issues have plagued Tatooine since Dune was filmed there.) Janus V is actually a trinary system but the 3rd sun had just set as Luke walked out of the workshop.

Star Wars ANH Stormtrooper PCR Helmet $179.99 Fearless and unswervingly loyal to the Emperor, Stormtroopers are the most recognized symbol of Imperial might. Encased in white armor over black body gloves, Stormtroopers make up the bulk of Palpatine’s ground-based armies and the space-based Imperial starfleet. Their fearsome looking helmets allow the soldiers to breathe in the harshest of environments, including the vacuum of space, and are equipped with long range communications allowing these elite shock troops to be deployed with speed and efficiency to quell insurrections and maintain order across the many worlds of the Empire. The distinctive design of the Stormtrooper was originally created by concept artist Ralph McQuarrie in 1975. McQuarrie designed several versions of the look of the Empire’s general infantry. *Symmetrical 1:1 full scale replica *High quality ABS molded construction *Accurate stunt flat dark green Type: Props & Replicas |

Star Wars Darth Vader Helmet ANH LE Prop Replica $799.99 Feel the seductive power of the dark side! Wear Darth Vader’s iconic helmet from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Limited edition fiberglass prop replica. Cast from Rick Baker’s molds of an original A New Hope helmet! Fully lined face mask with adjustable straps. Includes a full-size eFX display base and numbered metal plaque! This officially licensed Darth Vader Episode IV Prop Replica Helmet is a life-size limited edition of only 1,000 pieces worldwide. The Sith Lord’s iconic headgear is constructed in fiberglass, aluminum, and plastic, and is cast from a master pattern from Rick Baker’s molds of an original ANH helmet. With asymmetric geometry with a screen-accurate two-toned black and gunmetal paint scheme on the face mask, it features machined aluminum tusks and a metal chin and mouth grills… plus accurate lenses and a fully lined face mask with adjustable straps. The incredible helmet comes with a full-size eFX display base, numbered metal plaque, and certificate of authenticity. Wow! The master pattern for this Darth Vader Helmet Prop Replica was cast from vintage molds in the Lucasfilm archives, which are believed to have been made by none other than Rick Baker from the screen-used Vader helmet back in 1977. What makes this a very special product is that the master pattern is NOT made from a digital scan; it is an actual original casting. This means that this replica helmet has direct lineage to the original and is as true to the actual filming prop as you can possibly get! This helmet has the asymmetric geometry that many feel capture the true evil essence of Darth Vader. The face mask has the screen-accurate two-toned black and gunmetal sprayed paint scheme. The dents and scratches that were in the original mold have been filled in or removed, giving the helmet a more pristine appearance, but still remaining faithful to the original filming prop. With this officially licensed Darth Vader Helmet, you will feel the seductive power of the dark side! This helmet will arguably be the most important piece of any Star Wars collection. The original Darth Vader helmet, as seen in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope , was sculpted by Brian Muir based on the concept sketches by beloved illustrator Ralph McQuarrie. Even though there were three known castings made from the mold made from Muir’s sculpt, only one helmet was used in the entire filming of A New Hope. |

The microphone is from a Racal Minilite headset. This is the same headset that Luke and Han wore when fighting the TIE fighters in their escape from the Death Star! In Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Luke Skywalker was assigned the wing position of Red Five and flew his X-wing starfighter in the Battle of Yavin against the Empire’s mightiest weapon, the dreaded Death Star. Using all his skills as a bush pilot in Beggar’s Canyon on Tatooine, and with the Force now his ally, Luke maneuvered down the Death Star’s trench, evading enemy fire and even Darth Vader, to deliver the final devastating blow and became an unlikely hero of the Rebellion. The original helmet was made from an APH-6B Vietnam-era flight helmet used by the U.S. Navy, circa 1969. This helmet included the dual visor cover. A ridge was also added over the top, from front to back. The helmet was then cast in halves to make the master patterns, and the X-wing pilot helmets were vacuum formed from these patterns. Upon assembly, a strip of ABS was added to hide the parting line of the two halves. |
